This is true intarsia work -depicting and image, using natural materials. In this case natural precious and semi-precious stones. It is a landscape theme with a lapis river, chrysocola hills, and this is set against a turquoise sky with mother-of-pearl cloud formations. Set into the sky is a yellow sapphire, and on the hills are pine trees. The whole picture is framed with black jade. It is sculptural, 3-dimensional, with depths and reliefs. The back of the pendant is a slab of natural petrified wood.
All of the metal work is 14k yellow gold. The yellow sapphire is vivid and bright.
It is possible to purchase the pendant separately. Or with the chain. The chain is a 20" double rope, of 14k gold-fill.
I do all of the lapidary and stone cutting myself. All of the gold work and stone setting. Most of the rough stone used in the pendants in my shop, I have sourced myself. I have a deep personal connection to each of these pendants.
